Growing The Reputation of UK Co-operatives

We launched Co-operatives Fortnight in June, an annual focus on the growing reputation of the co-operative sector.

Our Co-operative Economy Report, detailed how the sector had successfully outperformed the wider UK economy. The report formed a centre piece of our national campaign.

It was referred to in The House Of Commons during a debate on the co-operative and mutual organisations and was the focus of a civil servant and MP briefing in Westminter. Its launch attracted widespread national news attention, with coverage including articles in the Financial Times, Observer, Independent, Daily Mail and Telegraph.

Broadcast interviews with secretary general Ed Mayo, also led to over 20 pieces of coverage including interviews on Radio 4’s Today Programme and Radio 5’s Wake Up To Money.
